GPA Virtual Summit | Bringing Payroll Professionals Together
Novative attended and hosted a virtual booth at the GPA Virtual Summit which took place on Wednesday 23rd June.
The half day event offered sessions, panels and networking for the payroll industry. The sessions ranged from Global Payroll and remote workers.
We had a great experience hosting our booth and really enjoyed the virtual ’round tables’. Thank you to everyone that took the time to visit our booth and chat to us at the tables.
The sessions were super interesting. ‘Is Global Payroll set-up to impact the bigger business picture’ was very informative. The session had some really revealing facts and polls. One poll revealed that a whopping 71% of companies still use Excel with payroll processing and data analytics. When the host asked if the attendees were surprised by this, most answered ‘sadly no’. Conversation changed to why this might be. Many agreed that the end-user in Excel was comfortable with it. Also, before the modern technologies in cloud computing, it was very time-consuming and risky to implement a big software. Even though there is much lower risk now.
Another interested poll revealed that 46% of companies thought it was important to have one single vendor deliver their Global payroll. This makes sense, as having one point of contact and one company of processes to deal with saves time and money.
What Novative Came Away With
It was a great opportunity for us to speak with like-minded people in the industry and see how our services could fit their needs. The sessions and polls highlighted that our services are fixing the challenges that most companies face with our cloud-based software and our Global outsourcing services.
Hopefully next time we will meet in person! Either way, we are looking forward to the next, either in person or virtually.
